Brooklyn Rings in the New Year with Gun Shots!
2012 ended with the fewest number of shootings in the city since police started keeping track in 1994. But then just hours into the new year, gun violence swept the city: nine people were shot, though none have died. There were at least four shootings in Brooklyn, starting at 2 a.m., when a 19-year-old man was shot in the back in Bushwick on Irving Avenue and rushed off to Wyckoff Hospital, the Post reports.
