Brooklyn Betrothed, in Search of the Perfect Wedding

By Brooklyn Magazine

Brooklyn Betrothed is a collective of like-minded wedding professionals whose work reflects the heart and soul of Brooklyn. Brooklyn Betrothed members Kristina Hill, Michelle Apiar, Ruth Irving, Tammy Golson, Sissi Chan, Anni Bruno, and Rebecca Shepherd collaborated to put together the quintessential Brooklyn wedding. Choosing the rooftop farm of the Brooklyn Grange as a venue assures that the ceremony will have arresting views and display the urban farm aesthetic that Brooklyn has pioneered. After a picturesque rooftop ceremony, guests can enjoy cocktail hour beneath a beautiful—and very Brooklyn—water tower, explore the farm, and take in the unparalleled view of the New York skyline before heading downstairs to the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s Building 92, where dinner and dancing will commence. This rustic/industrial design aesthetic makes for the perfect wedding. It evokes the fresh and the salvaged, the new and the timeless. It is Brooklyn.

A structured peplum top and asymmetrical pleats, make this dress elegant but fun—perfect for dancing.
