Not for posting
These are the things the women behind Catbird like; things that are “tiny, shiny, and gold.” But really, that’s just the beginning. Situated on Williamsburg’s main drag, Catbird is the kind of magical place that feels like it can only be reached by climbing through an enchanted wardrobe full of heavy fur coats, not by walking down Bedford Avenue and opening a regular glass door. And yet, there it is!
Once inside, it is breathtakingly easy to be transported by all of the beautiful things that have so clearly been meticulously chosen and are perfectly displayed. Everything from the ampersand earrings to the delicate first knuckle rings to the exquisitely crafted pendant necklaces seem designed to transform the body part that they will call home.

Catbird, which was started by owner Rony Vardi in 2004, doesn’t only sell jewelry, however. It offers other carefully curated goods like candles that evoke campfires and art to grace your walls as prettily as one of their alphabet rings would grace your finger. And although Catbird does carry jewelry from all around the world, many of their goods are locally sourced and include Brooklyn favorites like Digby & Iona, Claire Kinder Studio, Yayoi Forest, Elisa Solomon, and Catbird’s own, eponymous line. Tiny, shiny, and gold: words to live by.
