10 Brooklyn Bars Perfect for Holiday Drinking
By pretty much any standard, the people of Brooklyn (or at least the people of Brooklyn Magazine) spend an awful lot of time in bars, and during the holiday season, well… Joni Mitchell’s classic “If you want me I’ll be in the bar” line rings truer than ever. But not just any bar will do: our preferred spots around this time of year tend to be more local than buzzed about, and they’re generally dark, tastefully decorated for the season, staffed by friendly bartenders, and have either a very good jukebox full of classics (the holidays are no time for discovery) or a carefully curated house playlist. It’s basically the same stuff we like in, say, March, but with less room for error. And maybe a few more Santa hats.
