Photos: Sandy Slams Bay Ridge!
We went out for a walk around lunchtime to survey Bay Ridge before the brunt of the storm hit—and already wires were down, trees had been felled, seas were roiling, wind whipped, and people were out to watch. (The next day we documented more destruction, including felled trees.)
This large deracinated tree near Colonial Road looked like it had fallen serendipitously between the house and its garage; property damage could have been far worse, it seemed.
