Of all the changes wrought by localvorism around these parts, one of the absolute best has been the explosion of coffee beans being roasted right here in Brooklyn. You might even call each individual bean a gentle, caffeinated butterfly kiss from the heavens. Or you might not! The point is, there is a lot of amazing coffee being made in the borough these days, and attention must be paid.
Plus, it’s officially fall now, and there are a lot of things we could say about this being a time for less beer and partying, more coffee and working. But do we really need an excuse to take an obsessive look at local coffee? Of course not. If we have it our way, you’ll never have to set foot in a Dunkin Donuts again.
