Williamsburg’s Motorino Will Reopen In 2013
- Krieger/NY Eater
If you’ve been hanging out down the street, weeping into your shitty free pizza at Alligator Lounge ever since Williamsburg’s Motorino location closed last summer, you can let out a pepperoni-flavored burp of relief: the Times reports that the restaurant is set to open back up in January 2013, in a new location.
As you may recall, the restaurant had a never-ending string of problems with its former building (sinking foundations, windows that couldn’t close, etc.), leading to its closure by the Department of of Building and a salty statement from owner Mathieu Palombino saying, “The stupidity of our landlord is a force we were not able to overcome.”
Well all that tragedy is in the past now, with a new location at 139 Broadway (near Bedford), right in the same neighborhood as Peter Luger and Fatty ‘Cue. We’re sure they’ll all get along swimmingly.
