ICYMI: The TNT Backstory Studio At Northside Festival
The TNT Backstory Studio at Northside Festival kicked off each day with a MNDFL meditation session, followed by popups showcasing local designers, DJ’s, emerging band showcases, and everything in between. Take a look at each day’s events in pictures:
Thursday featured the Brooklyn Magazine Emerging Artist Showcase, Drag Queen Story Hour, the New York Times‘ and WBUR’s Modern Love podcast with Karrueche Tran, and a storytelling workshop led by Tony award winner Lemon Andersen.
On Friday, Jessica Bennett of Feminist Fight Club chatted with Jessica Plank, followed by a book signing, live storytelling with Glynn Washington of NPR’s Snap Judgment and Yum’s The Word Show, and Brooklyn Magazine’s Emerging Artist Showcase feat. Yeaji, all culminating with dinner, artisanal cocktails and live music.
TNT’s hit new show Claws premiered on Sunday, June 11th, and the TNT Backstory Studio was transformed into a nail salon, with a DJ spinning tunes, Hot Girls Eating Pizza, and pizza, of course, provided by Sizzle Pie.
Sunday began with a 5k run presented by Luna & Runstreet, followed by a brunch at the TNT Backstory Studio with live music performed by Ó, and a live recording with Heritage Radio Network’s Snacky Tunes podcast.
TNT’s Backstory Studio brought storytelling to life in Brooklyn during Northside Festival, bringing first hand access to the latest music, content, people and ideas fueling the cultural conversations across all forms of storytelling.
