Vincent Spinola is founder and vice president of BARCSHELTER, which was established in 1987, when the need to help shelter unwanted and abandoned animals in the Williamsburg and Greenpoint areas increased. To this day, the most rewarding part of his job is being able to help put forsaken and abused animals into loving homes. He hopes that more and more people choose to adopt as opposed to buying puppy mill dogs.

My name is Vincent Spinola, founder and vice president of BARCSHELTER
The shelter was founded in 1987 by myself and Anthony Spoto (president )
as the need to help shelter unwanted and abandoned animals in the Williamsburgh and green point area.
The most rewarding part of this job is when an animal comes into the shelter after being left on the street to fend for itself and than gets adopted into a loving home
my proudest achievement is finding homes for countless numbers of animals, the greatest challenges are funding and educating the public awareness
