Industry City’s Holiday Market is the Ultimate Gift Shopping Destination
This December, Brooklyn’s Industry City will be the holiday shopping destination for one-of- a- kind gifts.
Shoppers peruse the wide range of gifts at last year’s WantedDesign holiday market. This year’s holiday market programming will include 300+ vendors curated by WantedDesign and Renegade Craft.
The vibrant innovation and manufacturing hub situated on the waterfront in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, will host two maker-centric holiday markets, the Renegade Craft Brooklyn Holiday Fair and WantedDesign Holiday Market, and one massive Design Within Reach holiday warehouse sale over three weekends: December 3-4, 10-11, and 17-18.
In total, Industry City will house the goods of more than 300 crafters, makers, and designers of a wide range of home décor items, fashion accessories, and unique gifts.
The markets will be a festive celebration, much more fun than shopping the big-box retailers or alone online. The makers themselves – many of whom make their products at Industry City – will be present at the markets so that shoppers can discover the people, process, and story behind the goods.
Renegade Craft is the largest independent craft fair in the world and this winter’s installation at Industry City will feature more than 150 of the most innovative product designers in the country and beyond.
The MushLume Cup Light Table Lamp, designed by Industry City’s own Danielle Trofe, on sale at the WantedDesign Holiday Market December 9th – 11th.
The fair will run three consecutive weekends from 11AM to 6PM starting December 3-4. Visitors will be able to shop a diverse assortment of handmade fashion accessories and home goods curated by Renegade Craft.
If you’re looking to buy a loved one a “Made in Brooklyn” item, consider Industry City-based makers, Danielle Trofe or Keap Candle, both of which will be available at the WantedDesign Holiday Market, which runs December 9, from 12PM to 6PM and December 10-11, from 11AM to 6PM.
While parents shop the WantedDesign Holiday Market, kids will have the opportunity to check out an interactive magnetic visual wall put on by Visual Magnetics and kid-friendly screenings presented in partnership with Sony Life Space UX.
The Keap Candle’s Wood Cabin scent, and many others will be on sale at their stand during the WantedDesign Holiday Market December 9th – 11th.
Design Within Reach will also curate a cozy lounge for shoppers to take a load off, complete with food and drinks from Industry City’s food makers.
Also on December 10-11, while both markets are in full swing, Design Within Reach’s warehouse is stepping up their already discounted prices with an additional 20% off their collection of modern furniture, lighting, and accessories.
Located at 274 36th Street (Food Hall Entrance) in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, Industry City is easily accessible via subway by taking the D, N and R trains to the 36th Street Station, the BQE 39th Street exit and more than ten different bus lines. Street parking is also available nearby. For more information on all of these exciting markets and more, visit the Industry City Holiday handbook!
