Bless the Early 00s: See Fast and The Furious For Free in McCarren Park Tomorrow

The-Fast-and-the-Furious-2001

Beep Beep! Get in loser, we’re going to McCarren Park. (We know that’s a different movie reference, but we couldn’t resist). Brooklyn Magazine’s own SummerScreen outdoor film screening is offering up some glorious, golden-era Vin Diesel in the original Fast and the Furious tomorrow. No need to trade your pink slips for it, this is free and open to the public! Sure, there’s about to be an eighth installment of the franchise (omg we’re so old), but we all know nothing compares to the early-aughts original.

Dotty-dom-and-letty-5482092-468-300Fast cars, shirtless Vin, sexy butt-grab scenes—what more could you want? Well, there’s more! Get to the park early for a live performance from rising Chicago rapper Taylor Bennett. The 20-year-old independent artist and younger brother of Chance The Rapper will be kicking off the show at 7:45. And then! There will even be a special message from director Rob Cohen before the film. Plus, lots of fuel from local food and drink vendors, including Coney Island Brewing Co.
