An enormous new Bob Dylan box set called The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12 is out today. It contains alternate versions of tracks from some of Dylan’s most critically acclaimed albums, Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, and Blonde On Blonde. Obviously, it also includes several different versions of his best-known song “Like A Rolling Stone,” and today they’ve released the song’s stems to the public to create their own remixes.
Studio A Revisited features three sections, the jam session is where you can play around with stems to create your own mix, the listening session includes stories and anecdotes about the period Dylan recorded these albums. The singing session is listed as coming soon, but according to Rolling Stone’s description, it sounds like it will allow fans to karaoke/test their knowledge of Dylan songs by singing them. How interactive! Check it all out here.
