Minor Plane Collision At LaGuardia Airport Not Instilling Confidence in Holiday Travel

Oh, boy. As if the Christmas Eve storm barreling towards would-be travelers wasn’t enough, a recent incident at LaGuardia Airport is not exactly a salve to the old holiday jitters. This morning, a Denver-bound Southwest Airlines plane clipped the wing of an American Airlines passenger jet while getting into position for takeoff.

There were 143 passengers on the Southwest flight at the time of the incident, on their way to Denver at just about 11 a.m. this morning. The American Airlines flight was heading towards Dallas. There are no reports of injuries thus far, but we imagine that it isn’t the best experience to have the flight you’re on collide with another plane.

Eesh. May you all get to wherever you’re going safely, readers.
