Big Brooklyn Fox Sample Sale This Weekend
On Friday mornings, before coffee or walking the dog or taking a shower, what’s the very first thing we everyone in New York is doing? Checking how much money was direct deposited in their account overnight, and basking in that glorious moment when you see how your balance has magically inflated while you slept. Happy Friday!
Not that we’re recommending you spend all your hard-earned money in one place, but we’d just like to point out that October is a good time for sales. This is convenient because October is also the time everyone realizes they’re missing a key wardrobe staple for the impending change of season. Racked NY’s Deal Feed—always a reliable guide when you’re ready to drop some cash on some new clothes—is overflowing with sales going on between now and the end of the month. Big names like Elizabeth and James, Nanette Lepore, Fred Perry, Derek Lam and Club Monaco are all hosting crazy sales, and the harsh reality is if you wanna get the deals, you have to go to Manhattan.
We see you frowning! But it’s the truth. Even stores located in Brooklyn are taking their sales over the East River. Williamsburg womenswear boutique Brooklyn Fox, located on Bedford, and Brooklyn Fox Lingerie, located on N 5th, have rented a space in Chelsea Market for this weekend’s warehouse sale of over 2,000 pieces of clothing and lingerie from the last couple seasons. Prices will be between 60-to-80 percent off an array of clothing and lingerie designers including: J Brand, Natori, Cynthia Rowley, DVF, Tibi, Zimmerman, Robert Rodriguez, Chantelle, Andrea Crews, Elle Macpherson, Simone Perele, Lou, Skin Graft and Cushnie et Oches.
Brooklyn Fox owner Alexis Isadora says that because many Manhattan residents don’t think of Brooklyn as a shopping destination, Brooklyn Fox is bringing the Brooklyn shopping to them with this sale, which might seem inconvenient for Brooklyn Fox-regulars, but is still probably worth the train ride. Because, really. What else were you going to do with all that extra money? Pay your incredibly expensive rent? It’s only the 10th. That can wait.
