Out of the Closet: At Home with 5 of Brooklyn’s Fashion Elite
Kimi Selfridge
Photographer, Stylist
Selfridge is a photographer and stylist based in New York and LA who has not only built up an impressive list of fashionable clients, but has also made a name for herself among the stylish set on both coasts. A look inside the closet of Selfridge’s Bushwick home reveals one seriously covetable item: an ‘N Sync concert T-shirt. We want it.
1. Most Worn Item
Vintage safari maxi dress. I got this piece at a flea market; it’s made of a ribbed cotton, so it’s super comfy and easy to throw on.
2. Best Bang-for-Buck Item
Jeremy Scott tote bag. It looks even better with wear. I love how huge it is, too.
3. Least Worn Piece, But Can’t Get Rid of It
Matthew Williamson top. I have NEVER worn this.
4. Item I’ve Had the Longest
Lanvin gold/wood heels. I was 18 and spent way too much on these.
5. Item with Most Sentimental Attachment
‘N Sync concert T-shirt. I think I saw them perform live six times? I wish they were still a band.
6. Smartest Splurge
Vintage leather jacket. It actually fits properly, unlike most vintage leather jackets, which can be too boxy or short.
