Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club Gets Official Opening Date
Okay, shuffleheads (what do shuffleboard enthusiasts call themselves?) the time has finally come for the hotly-anticipated Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club to open its doors to the public.
DNAinfo reports that the Gowanus venue will officially open five days from now on February 19 at 6 p.m. Delays were caused by bureaucracy, of course, and now that owners Ashley Albert and Jonathan Schnapp have secured their final occupancy permit they can get things rolling sliding.
A list of things you have to look forward to while there: a full bar, league nights, an ever-changing roster of food trucks, a massive private events space and 2- to 8-person games of shuffleboard for $40/hour.
Sounds good to us. See you geezers there!
