A Real-Life Meth Dealer Named Walter White Was Arrested In Montana
So, here’s a weird denouement to the end of Breaking Bad (and its inevitable appearance on every single year end list): reports have started circulating that back in January, an actual meth dealer named Walter White was arrested in Montana and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Apparently, he was something of a kingpin in the region (though he didn’t make the product himself), and was only caught after a dispute that ended in White being shot by his own son. “He ended up getting shot by his own son,” said a judge. “32.5 pounds of methamphetamine coupled with guns and violence is about as serious as you can get.” So, there you go. The truth’s not necessarily stranger than fiction, but more or less identical.
