Casa Tua is Bringing an Elevated Food Hall to an Iconic Downtown Brooklyn Tower
The global hospitality brand is hopping across the East River for its next NYC concept
Downtown Brooklyn is about to get yet another star attraction. Casa Tua, the global hospitality brand behind restaurants in Miami, Paris, Capri, and Aspen, is expanding its New York City portfolio with an elevated food hall concept, tucked into one of the borough’s most iconic buildings.
Casa Tua has announced it will bring its first NYC location of Cucina, a specialty food hall concept with premium vendors rooted in Brooklyn and ethically-sourced ingredients from around the world, to One Hanson Place, directly across the street from Atlantic Terminal.
According to a press release, the Brooklyn outpost of Cucina will arrive as the first step in a transformation of One Hanson Place into a proper dining destination, partnering with Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment, which purchased the ground floor, mezzanine, and basement of the building in 2024. It will feature a massive, theatrical bar and dining area on the main concourses of the beautifully gothic landmark tower that once housed the Williamsburg Savings Bank. “One Hanson Place is a remarkable, historic setting, and with Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, we share a clear vision for how to approach it: with the utmost respect for the landmark building, the neighborhood, and the people who will bring it to life every day,” said Casa Tua co-founder Miky Grendene.
Details are still skim, but the tentative opening is set for 2027. Stay tuned for more in the months ahead.
