New York Public Library Launches Outdoor Reading Room Today
If you were at school right now, you would be pleasing the teacher to let you have class outside. In the same spirit of that fruitless high school request, the New York Public Library has opened up a temporary outdoor classroom, complete with wi-fi, a long table with ample seating, and some circulation books to peruse.
The outdoor classroom is open from today through August 15, part of the library’s #ireadeverywhere initiative that asks New Yorker to share their favorite weird reading spots. Go check it out at the Fifth Avenue Plaza of the Stephen A. Sc hwarzman Building, and procrastinate outside for a change.
