A 70-Year-Old Woman Was Attacked Sunday Morning at the 4th Ave/9th St Station in Park Slope
It’s easy to walk around with the assumption that in certain neighborhoods at certain times of day, you’re pretty much guaranteed a certain level of safety. And then something like this happens: Gothamist reports that last Sunday, 3/30, a 70-year-old woman was attacked at the 4th Avenue-9th St. R station in Park Slope at 10:45am.
Allegedly, a suspect, whose pictures (above) the NYPD has released in hopes of tracking him down, approached her on the platform and “struck her head with his fist before fleeing.” If you have information, the NYPD is asking that you call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips on their website, www.nypdcrimestoppers.com. Most likely an isolated incident, but incredibly disturbing nonetheless.
