The Liberty Push On and The Nets Return at Barclays Center This Month
Plus: Rod Wave, The Smashing Pumpkins, Teddy Swims, and everything else happening at the corner of Atlantic and Flatbush in October
We all know October is when Brooklyn really starts feeling like fall. The energy is just different. The layered fits get dug out, Pumpkin Spice Lattes resurface, and Halloween decorations light up and spook out the city. For its part, Barclays Center is shifting into a fall rhythm of its own, with the Brooklyn Nets returning to the court for another NBA season and the New York Liberty continuing their playoff push, while artists like Teddy Swims, The Smashing Pumpkins, Don Omar, Rod Wave, Arcángel, and Rawayana, amongst others, keep the concert side of the calendar busy.
Here’s everything you need to know about what’s on the schedule for October at Barclays Center.

Concerts
Teddy Swims fans surely have Oct. 2 circled on their calendars, as the 33-year-old Georgia crooner brings The UGLY Tour to 620 Atlantic Avenue. With guests Mac Ayres and MarcLo, the night is sure to be a special one, as Swims looks to give a soulful, hit-filled arena show in support of his recently released studio album.
October 4: The Smashing Pumpkins
It’s only right that The Smashing Pumpkins grace the Barclays Center ahead of Halloween for their The Rats In A Cage Tour this month. The nationwide run celebrates the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1995 album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and brings the group back to Barclays for the first time since 2012.
The 48-year-old Puerto Rician rapper is hitting the Barclays Center stage on October 10 for his Last King World Tour. The artist, also known as KONG, added a ton of dates for next year starting in February 2027, after performing 10 sold-out shows over the summer.
The alternative rock and indie/punk band from Long Island, New York, announced their 7 Years + 13 of The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me Tour back in June. This stop should bring out a certain generation of crunchy New Yorkers.
Johnny Blue Skies & The Dark Clouds will be hitting Barclays Center on Oct. 16 for their Mutiny for the Masses 2026 Tour. Johnny Blue Skies, aka John Sturgill Simpson, announced his second studio album, Mutiny After Midnight, under his Blue Skies moniker when he leaked the album on March 1, 2026, via YouTube.
Revelation Nights, presented by Revelation Church LA, will be at Barclays for a night of “full power and presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” according to its website. The event won’t be livestreamed, so anyone looking for fellowship worship will be right at home for this in-person-only event.
Arcángel, whose real name is Austin Agustín Santos, will be gracing the Barclays Center this month to support his latest album, La 8va Maravilla, with his La 8va Maravilla World Tour.
The Florida rapper was originally locked in for just one show at the arena but, due to high demand, has since flipped the Brooklyn stop of his Don’t Look Down Tour into a two-night affair.
Rawayana, the Venezuelan band that’s been together for almost a decade, is bringing their ¿Dónde Es El After? World Tour to Brooklyn on Halloween. The show is sure to be filled with reggae, psychedelic, electronic, funk, and salsa vibes as the band will be performing hits from their catalog and selections from their new album.

Games
October 8: Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers
NBA fans who haven’t seen their team play in months will return to the Barclays Center stands for the first home game of the Nets preseason this month. The Nets, who recently picked up All-Star forward Julius Randle, will face off against the new-look Philadelphia 76ers, who acquired superstars LeBron James and Jaylen Brown over the summer.
October 9: New York Liberty vs. Atlanta Dream
The first, hopefully not only, home game of the WNBA semifinals should be a battle of wills by Game 3 of the series, with Liberty pushing to head back to the finals after winning the chip back in 2024. Tickets go on sale Saturday, October 3.
October 21: Nets vs. Charlotte Hornets
In their regular season home opener, The Nets will face the LaMelo Ball-less Charlotte Hornets, a match-up between scrappy, young teams led by veteran playmakers looking to prove themselves out the gate.
October 25: Brooklyn Nets vs. Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers are coming to Barclays Center for The Nets’ second home game of the season, in what should be a high-scoring bout, as Tyrese Haliburton, sidelined for most of the 2025-26 season after tearing his Achilles tendon in the 2025 NBA Finals, should be back in action.
October 30: Brooklyn Nets vs. Detroit Pistons
The Pistons will close out the first week of Nets’ league play in Game 1 of the group stage of the NBA Cup, pitting the spry and energetic home team against Cade Cunningham and last season’s top seed in the Eastern Conference, no doubt still sour from their loss to The Cavs in the semifinals last year.
