Where to Watch Super Bowl LX in Brooklyn
The bars, bowling allies, restaurants, pubs, food halls, and spaces defying categorization to post up in this weekend, no matter who you're rooting for
This Sunday, February 8, the eyes, ears, and feet of the nation will be fixed on the warm-up and cooldown of the first annual and frankly long overdue Benito Bowl. Others may refer to it as “Super Bowl LX,” and claim they’re tuned in for the gridiron theater of the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks colliding violently, spectacularly, for the earned and unearned valor of an NFL championship.
But much like last year’s production—in which Kendrick Lamar added an emphatic borderling diabolical exclamation mark to a year-long push-pull with Drake that played out over an absolutely incendiary exchange of singles, an album campaign, a court proceeding, and, eventually, the whole Grammys ceremony chanting and cheering a particularly contentious line from his hit “Not Like Us” as he took home every award he was nominated for the following week—we all know who and what we’ll be focused on Sunday night.
That said, whether it’s Bad Bunny, Slippery Sammy, or a Drake with far less smoke coming his way that’s got your attention this weekend, it’s time, if you haven’t already, to start thinking about where you’re posting up for it all, which, depending on your desired specifications for a live and collective sports experience, is a more complicated consideration than its seems. Shooting for ample booze and space to spread out with a mid-to-large group in tow? Looking for the “right” crowd to lose your minds with? Basing your call on a good menu? These are all important questions to weigh, but for each and all we’ve got quite a few options (not to mention a dedicated dive into the best bar grub in town right now, for the food-forward fanatic).
Here are the best places to watch Super Bowl LX in Brooklyn this weekend.

Tulum
1056 Broadway
On the restaurant side of Tulum, patrons can catch the Super Bowl at their own table while indulging in their expansive menu. But deal hunters should take note of the night’s special: an aptly named “Bunny Bowl,” with 12 wings, 12 tacos, nachos, fries, and four beers, for a pretty reasonable $85.

Brooklyn Bowl
61 Wythe Ave.
Doors open at 5 p.m., when 14 different HD screens will show the game, and the staff serves food and drinks all night. Wing packages are available, and Coney Island Mermaid Pilsner pitchers will cost a relatively affordable $30 each. Keep in mind, though, if you want to bowl while watching, you’re going to have to reserve a lane in advance.

TimeOut Market
55 Water St.
Nobody does the Super Bowl quite like the DUMBO food hall. Starting at 3 p.m., DJs Enuff and Mike Medium will be spinning in the lead-up to the game, getting the mood right just in time for the 6:30 p.m. kickoff. Expect a ton of food and drink deals, and once the dust settles and a new champ is crowned, the party continues well into the night. Oh, and did we mention it’s free?

Farm.One
625 Bergen St.
One of the more unique entries on the list is Farm. One, a cocktail bar, event space, and indoor hydroponic farm (yes, you read that right) all in one. On Sunday, the business will host a free Super Bowl party starting at 6 p.m., complete with a pizza pop-up in the back of the space.

The Brazen Head
228 Atlantic Ave.
The Brazen Head will be running an all-day $7 beer and shot special for this year’s Super Bowl. Grab a Miller High Life and a whiskey or a Modelo with tequila for or a “misguided” margarita and a jello shot—all paths lead to a damn good time.

Fulton Hall
250 Ashland Pl.
Whether as a walk-in or a reservation holder (you can book a spot by emailing ian@vortexhospitality.com), you’re sure to enjoy your time at Fulton Hall this Sunday. Specials will include buckets of seasonally appropriate fare (“Wings! Jalapeno poppers! Pigs in a blanket!,” excitedly reads the menu), and pitchers of beer.

Gun Hill Publick House
52 34th St.
Industry City visitors and residents will have a reliable source of gameday fixings at Gun Hill. The 34th Street brewery is running specials on food, beer, and pitchers, and will have plenty of screens and speakers on for you to cut it up to “DtMF” in its rightful setting.

The idea of watching the game at a massive bar with your kids at the hip might sound a bit counterintuitive, but if you have to bring the little ones anywhere, let it be Threes Brewing in Gowanus, where the menu comes courtesy of Grand Army and $60 gets you an open bar configuration that might have you reconsidering bringing the little ones.

Nostrand Avenue Pub
658 Nostrand Ave.
Although this chill neighborhood bar near Crown Heights is not offering any gameday specials, the staff is excited to have the much-anticipated matchup on the bar’s screens with the sound cranked. There’s just something about the laid-back vibes at Nostrand Avenue Pub that feel particularly conducive to sparking new friendships over ice-cold beers and all the amateur game analysis you can handle.

Syndicated Bar
40 Bogart St.
Part movie theater, part bar, and part restaurant, Syndicated is one of the coolest hospitality concepts currently operating in Brooklyn. On Sunday, patrons can watch the big game and Benito’s halftime heroics at the bar for free, or grab a seat inside the theater for $15. If you’re opting for the latter, we suggest you secure your $15 tickets ASAP. If the bar’s your preferred vantage, you won’t need to make any advance arrangements, but we do suggest heading there early.

Pats fans won’t find any specials at what may be one of the only New York bars not openly hostile to the city (and surrounding areas) of Boston, but they will find plenty of camaraderie (and beers, on tap and by the bottle), at the Gowanus watering hole that’s proudly (bravely?) flying a New England flag this weekend.

And finally, here’s one more partisan pick for native or naturalized Northwesterners in search of an outpost for the night. Bushwick’s Pine Box Rock Shop is pulling out the pizza and drink specials to cheer on their birds. The fun starts at 6 p.m., but the bar opens at 2, so pull up nice and early if you want to get a comfy spot.
