The Cabin in a Loft

While it’s true that many of us have total loft envy—just think of all that openness—the reality is that with all that space comes responsibility, by which we mean potential decorating headaches. Thus, six years ago, designer Terri Chiao transformed her Bushwick loft space by building wooden cabins, making one huge room into multiple cozy spaces, full of wood and exposed brick. Now, Chiao lives there with her partner, Adam Frezza, and together the two operate Chiaozza, a small design studio, and they treat the Cabin in the Loft as a place of inspiration and gathering for the creative community.
