Brooklyn Super Bowl Snacks: A Primer
Carbs with Dips
For me, this is the main event. Which means there needs to be a baseline of several different chips—those that act as a standalone (McClure’s Garlic Dill Pickle flavor), those that act as a vehicle for dips (Baked in Brooklyn’s salty, perfect multigrain pita chips), and those that can do both (North Fork’s cheddar onion kettle chips come to mind). Pretty much all of these will pair nicely with Brooklyn Salsa Company’s basic “The Pure” flavor, and again, the Meat Hook has several types of cheese dips on hand (blue cheese, queso, bacon cheddar, the list goes on). For something a little simpler, or just as a supplement to all this? Salted pretzel rods from the Brooklyn Pretzel company (well worth a quick trip to Bay Ridge), dipped in Anarchy in a Jar’s beer mustard (they’ve got a list of vendors on their website).
