The 2014 Brooklyn Restaurant Preview: Everywhere You’re Going to Want to Eat this Year
Meat Hook Sandwich Shop: Brooklyn’s most irreverent butchers already have a wealth of serious sandwich stuffers at their disposal, so it was only a matter of time before they nailed down a source for bread. Located a stones throw away from their home base on Lorimer Street, the shop is expected to open by the end of the month, and will serve a rotating selection of Italian subs, grilled ham and cheese, roast pork sandwiches, an “undisclosed baloney” sandwich, a “gross vegetarian” sandwich, and according to owner Tom Mylan, a sandwich “determined by whatever we have too much of at the butcher shop.”
