Where to Spend New Year’s Eve in Brooklyn

By Sarah Zorn

jan1911talde9

Talde/Thistle/Pork Slope: Dale Talde and co. are going big for NYE with three entirely separate concepts at each of their Park Slope spots. The classic Bensonhurst dinner at Pork Slope will appeal to dyed-in-the-wool Brooklynites, featuring old-school courses like Clam Casino, complimentary Prosecco, and dance tunes courtesy of DJ Pauley Alphabets. Champagne will be flowing at the swinging Great Gatsby-themed celebration at Thistle Hill Tavern (along with canapés and Waldorf lobster bisque), and a homestyle Filipino feast is slated for Talde, including lumpia (spring roll) tastings, pancit molo (pork and shrimp wonton soup), and duck adobo with duck arrozcaldo (rice porridge) and duck insal (barbecue).

Pork Slope: 247 5th Ave., (718) 768-7675

Thistle Hill Tavern: 441 7th Ave., (347) 599-1262

Talde: 369 7th Ave., (347) 916-0031
