Fonda: “A Swedish Mexican Christmas” may sound like a working concept for a new Smorgasburg stand, but it’s been a beloved tradition at Park Slope’s Fonda for years. And unlike the ludicrously over-glorified ramen burger, chef Roberto Santibanez’s inventive fusions actually make sense, like kale and roasted jalapeno soup topped with dill crema, salt cod with cured poblano peppers, traditional Swedish meatballs with lingonberry-chipotle sauce and guajillo-infused aquavit.
