Everything You Need To Do In Brooklyn Before The Summer Is Over
Red Hook Lobster Pound
As far as I know, nobody sits bolt upright in bed at noon on a Saturday in February and says to themselves, “man, would it be nice to sit outside eating fresh, buttery shellfish.” If you want to do that, now is the time. The gold standard for this, of course, is Red Hook Lobster Pound, one of those places so fresh that you actually get to pick your lobster out of the tank before it’s murdered and prepared for your consumption. If you’re more North Brooklyn-oriented, though (or just too lazy to get on those ferry boats we talked about), Bushwick’s Cafe Ghia is hosting a traditional crab boil this Thursday (call ahead to reserve a spot). The whole thing is sponsored by Six Point, meaning there’ll be plenty of good beer on hand, too. If that’s not a good way to close out the summer, I don’t know what is.
