La Slowteria
Opened just over a year ago by chef Hugo Orozco, La Slowteria combines the ethics of the Slow Food movement with the flavors of Orozco’s native Mexico. In fact, the restaurant serves as a replica of the spot he owned in the eco-friendly resort town of Tulum, except for instead of six cabanas adjoined on the beach, the restaurant occupies an intimate space on Court Street.
What to Eat: Fried Grasshoppers with worm salt, salsa and guacamole with handmade tortillas, El Negrito (duck with black mole)
Where to Take Selfies: At the colorful tiled bar, sipping prickly pear margaritas
548 Court St., (718) 858-2222
