Beat the Crowds: Where to Watch the Fourth of July Fireworks
- The view of Manhattan, 1933
Smith-Ninth Street Station
This elevated stop is the highest in the city’s subway system, and from parts of the station you get a pretty decent view of Manhattan. I don’t know if more than a handful of people at most will have had the idea to watch the fireworks from up here; you’ll probably be surrounded mostly by people who had to work late on a holiday and don’t give a fuck about fucking fireworks.
