Brooklyn to Boozers: Stop Drinking and Go to Bed!
Neighbors of the Barclays Center fought for a 10pm alcohol-cutoff at the arena, and the arena asked for 2am. The state liquor authority compromised, sort of, by requiring booze sales to stop at 1am. I wonder if this can singlehandedly be credited for the fact that, according to the Times, “the apocalyptic predictions of crime, chaos and an entire way of life suddenly and irreversibly ruined [by the arena] have not come to pass.” [photo]
