Glassnote Records is one of the most prominent record labels in our fine city. With a roster that includes some super-famous talent ranging from Childish Gambino to Chvrches to Phoenix, its a label to always keep an eye out for—the eye for talent is unmistakable.
Which is why we’re glad to bring some attention to the first compilation that the label has put together of emerging NYC bands, titled Noteworthy 01. Coming out on July 28, the collection brings together eight Big Apple-based bands—Plain Dog, Petite League, Grim Streaker, Your Dog, Blasteroid, Native Sun, The 94 Knicks, and THICK—and packages them all for the well-versed music fan’s consumption.
The collection was put together by by Glassnote Records itself, with the label’s A&R/Creative Director, Jenny Kaufman, leading the way. This is the first of what’s planned to be a series of releases, aiming to help emerging artists to further navigate the ever-changing landscape of what the music industry is today.
Noteworthy 01 will host a showcase on August 16th at Union Pool in Brooklyn presented by PopGun with performances by Grim Streaker, Petite League, Your Dog, and Native Sun. Tickets for that show are available here.
