Jared Kushner’s last.fm Has Been Unearthed, And He Loves Twenty One Pilots, Hamilton, and Beyonce
Jared Kushner, who not-too-long ago was just the publisher of the New York Observer and a real estate guy (and someone I would walk past outside of the 92Y on my way to the train), has recently become one of the most powerful and influential people in the world, as a top advisor to his father-in-law, the empty-headed bag of Cheetos that has somehow inexplicably become the most powerful figure in the world. It seems like lately, between spending some time in the middle east and feuding with his white nationalist colleague, there probably hasn’t been much time for listening to music, but the internet has found his last.fm profile, along with tracking info of over 100,000 tracks that he’s listened to since Winter of 2009. And his favorite band seems to be Twenty One Pilots (who he’s listened to the most). He’s also been listening to music a decent bit recently, while tasked with what we would think would be important things.
The people of the internet on 4chan and reddit unearthed the profile, which seems to go in-depth with a lot of music from, really, a pretty wide variety of places: Depeche Mode, The Beatles, ABBA, Muse, Pink Floyd, The Hamilton Soundtrack, Leonard Cohen, Sufjan Stevens, Sharon Van Etten, Bon Iver, and Lou Reed are all among Kushner’s listening population.
If you look at his recently listened tracks, there’s a lot of assorted stuff in there. Look at all the Hamilton:
And then… HOLY HELL THAT IS A LOT OF BEYONCÉ
Kind of an interesting choice, you know, considering it all.
Maybe next we’ll find out what kind of movies and TV he and Ivanka prefer, too—after all, we already figured one out first hand.
