Aw, Shucks: Our Five Favorite Oyster Happy Hours
Washing briny oysters down with a glass of Champagne is one of the world’s simplest delights—especially when you’re on a budget. Lucky for Brooklynites, our borough is saturated with spots offering some of the best bivalve specials around. Whether you like ‘em with a cold craft beer, topped with mignonette or garnished with a squeeze of lemon, there’s an oyster happy hour to satisfy your palate as well as your humble bank account.
Bearded Lady in Prospect Heights is a favorite for its colorful Art Deco design and generous oyster happy hour. From 5 to 8 p.m., you can enjoy $1 bivalves and specials on the spirit of your choice. We recommend a fun and inventive cocktail, like the Ginger Prince (aged rum, lime juice, seltzer, ginger and thyme syrup).
