The Hotelier and Mas Ysa Added to “Brooklyn Live at the Flea” Free Show Series
You remember that free summer concert series at the Brooklyn Flea we’ve been talking about? You may have been one of the smart, attractive people who joined us last Sunday for indie-rock mascot Alex G, or maybe you’re planning to swing by the Flea this Sunday to watch Brooklyn’s native sons Caveman while sipping mint lemonade. We salute you for good decision making. You’ve figured out the way to do summer in they city, and for that, we have more free shows coming your way.
On August 16, Holden-Caulfields-in-the-flesh The Hotelier will team up with pop surges Bent Shapes and heart-crusher Japanese Breakfast, a solo project from Little Big League‘s Michelle Zauner, for a full-blown emotional purge. Our pals at the Bunce Group take the curatorial reins on August 30, picking up right where we left off with emotive synth wizard Mas Ysa and special guests. RSVP for The Hotelier here; do the same for Mas Ysa here.
Gates to the Brooklyn Flea (at 50 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg) will open at 10am, per usual, with music starting at 3pm and wrapping up around 6pm — prime hours to build emotional connections.
