Bushwick Is Getting A Brooklyn Flea Spin-Off

Look out, Bushwick. Another outdoor flea market is coming your way. In the 5,000 square foot vacant lot off Wyckoff and Willoughby Avenues, to be precise, just a quick walk from the Jefferson L stop. The new flea market is a spin-off of sorts from the Williamsburg/Fort Greene Brooklyn Flea, which has been wintering at 1000 Dean Street near Franklin Avenue.
A group of vendors decided to found their own market after determining, accurately, that the Brooklyn Flea had become “very big and very touristy” in recent years, coordinator Rob Abner told DNA Info. You can expect vintage artisanal goods (surprise!) and all kinds of food. The market will be open on Saturdays and Sundays between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. starting April 4.
“I’m just aiming for a variety of cool products,” Abner said. “It’s not your flea market where you sell socks and sunglasses. It’s going to be vintage things and cool things, just to sort of suit the neighborhood and trend.”
They’ll have room for 50 vendors. If you’re interested, check out their site.
