Now Lena Dunham Is Leaving Brooklyn

First Bey and Jay decamped for the West Coast, and we were sad that we would never run into them at Roberta’s. And now Lena Dunham, the woman who made a certain subset of Brooklyn famous, is saying goodbye to all that. Well maybe not like, goodbye and more like I’m never going to go through a February like that again, and for that, it’s hard to blame her.
Proof of this move, or at least time investment in the west coast? A real estate transaction. According to TMZ, Dunham snapped up a very adorable 1920s home just off the Sunset Strip. There’s a pool and a cute wraparound porch and guest house, too. She paid a cool $2.7 million for the three-bedroom three-bath number, which used to belong to Breakfast at Tiffany’s actor George Peppard.
Last year, Dunham told Vogue that she’s not a big fan of the LA lifestyle. “I like Los Angeles, but more than two weeks and I start to get a very sad feeling,” she said. “You eat well there, and you take hikes, and my dog loves it, but ultimately it’s not the right place for me.”
So… maybe she’s just got a house there for the winters? Please? Pretty please?
