Man Stabbed on the 6 Train
Annoying seatmates, weird smells, delays, and subway preachers are all every day hazards of riding the New York subway system. But this week, one straphanger had every public transportation rider’s nightmare come true: Over the weekend, a 31-year-old man was stabbed on the 6 train at Union Square and rushed to the hospital. And, cool: The knife-wielding subject is still on the loose.
According to the Daily News the man was fighting with another man on the uptown train when he was stabbed in the leg. The incident occurred at 5:10 pm. The victim, who remains unidentified, staggered out onto the subway platform and was whisked to the hospital, where he is in stable condition. His attacker, a man in his 20s, escaped and remains at large. No word on what the fight was about but guys, general reminder: a subway seat isn’t worth losing blood for.
