Xi’an Famous Foods Opens in Greenpoint Tomorrow With Free Noodles and Burgers
Tomorrow is guaranteed to be a cold, wet, miserable December day. This weekend in general, actually, isn’t looking th most welcoming to being outside of your bed. But there’s a bright spot in all that gloom: The Xi’an Famous Foods in Greenpoint, an outpost of the chain that began in Flushing and became a cult favorite thanks to champions like Anthony Bourdain, is finally, finally opening on Saturday. And they’re dishing out free orders of their famous burgers and noodles between 11:30 am and 5 pm.
Here’s the deal, via DNAInfo: Show up to the spacious new location at 548 Manhattan Avenue (900 square feet!) on Saturday with your smartphone handy. If you show that you’re following the restaurant on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or Weibo (and let’s be honest, the last one is pretty advanced) then you will get your choice of a free helping of hand-pulled noodles or one of those spicy and savory cumin lamb burgers.
And even if you aren’t into the social media thing, the good news is that Xi’an Famous Food’s dishes aren’t going to set you back more than $10. The new Greenpoint restaurant is the chain’s second location in Brooklyn and their eighth location overall. It also features 600 feet of outdoor seating, which will be great for when it’s not December.
