Celebrate Veteran’s Day With A Cheap Tattoo
We’ve made our policy on free (or very cheap) tattoos clear. (Pretty much, it’s something that you should probably pay for, unless you hapterpen to be pals with a tattoo artist who’s feeling generous.) But if you have a hankering to get inked, a military ID, and the day off, the good folks at Bushwick’s Morning Star tattoo are offering a selection of tattoos for $25 for you. Thanks, veterans! Let’s permanently inscribe a drunk pig on your arm in gratitude.
Civilians are also welcome to one of the flash tattoos on the sheet above, but it’ll run them between $50 and $100. Still pretty cheap, guys. If that doesn’t appeal, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate Veteran’s Day. Tonight at The Bedford, the Society for the Advancement of Social Studies is presenting a lecture on the history of World War I, including themed drink specials and a chat on WWI propaganda posters. Or read this intriguing piece by Jason Diamond on the most highly-decorated military dog, nicknamed Sergeant Stubby.
