Feeling a bit uncultured? We have the cure for that! This Friday (September 12), our friends at Storm King Art Center – and their friends at Asia Society – will present “New Directions: Contemporary Art in China,” a fascinating look at new trends in Chinese contemporary art with the people who know it best.
Join us at Asia Society (725 Park Avenue, at 70th Street) from 6:30-8 PM as Thomas J. Berghuis of the Guggenheim Museum, Ingrid Dudek of Christie’s, and Melissa Chiu of Asia Society come together for a discussion of current Chinese art movements, the roots of these trends, and their significance to people both inside and outside of China.
To get a closer look at some of the work that inspired this conversation, be sure to make your way over to Storm King for their current exhibition, Zhang Huan: Evoking Tradition.
This event is free with an RSVP. Click here to register and get more info!
