We get it: Society’s current penchant for 90s nostalgia is getting way out of hand, but, you know, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em or whatever. That’s why we’re encouraging you to drop by MCU Park this week for a nostalgia overload in the form of a 90s Nickelodeon-themed Brooklyn Cyclones game.
This Wednesday, August 27, the Cyclones are collaborating with Nickelodeon to celebrate the network’s 90s programming and they’re going the full nine. Not only will there be live sessions of Double Dare!, one of the greatest game shows of our time, but Kel Mitchell, he of All That and Kenan & Kel fame, will throw out the first pitch. (Who loves orange soda, you guys?) And yes, there will be slime. And lots of it.
Tickets to the game are $10 across the board or you can buy the $25 Double Dare package (limited to 100 tickets), which includes the baseball jersey above, sunglasses, a headband and “exclusive admission into the pre-taping of Double Dare LIVE!.” All of it will benefit the ALS Association.
The game starts at 7pm.
