These New Shake Shack-Anniversary Collaborations Look Amazing

By Kristin Iversen

Shake Shack Collaboration

We don’t know where you come down on the whole Shack Shack phenomenon (some people think the burgers are overrated and prefer In-n-Out, while others can’t get past the lackluster fries), but we’re big fans. Not the kind of fans who would wait hours on line at the Madison Square Park Shake Shack (we have lives, you know), but definitely the kind who will wait ten minutes at our local DoBro Shake Shack.

Except, well, that might all change come June 9th, because Shake Shack just announced some major collaborations in honor of their ten-year anniversary. And we mean major. Between June 9th and June 13th, New York burger lovers can indulge in variations on the classic Shake Shack burger by the likes of April Bloomfield (Breslin beef-blend burger topped with all-natural applewood smoked bacon and Tickler English cheddar cheese sauce), David Chang (Shack beef-blend cheeseburger topped with smoked and griddled shrimp patty, Momofuku Hozon Sauce, Bibb lettuce, pickled onion and salted cucumber), Daniel Boulud (Shack beef-blend topped with DBGB’s BBQ pulled pork, jalepeño mayo, Boston lettuce and mustard-vinegar slaw), and more. There’s even a special beer collaboration with Brooklyn Brewery!

All the festivities and special burger collabs will only happen at the original Madison Square Park Shake Shack, so don’t expect to find these treats all over the city. Are the lines going to be insane? Yes! But will it be worth it? Probably also yes! These burgers sound amazing and even we—who are almost unfathomably lazy and line-averse—are considering camping out for that Momfuku-burger. Happy eating, everyone. And bring something to read.
