Brooklyn Flea Sunday Market Moves To 50 Kent, Returns This Week
Smorgasburg has been back at East River Park for a while now, but the fate of its sister market, the Brooklyn Flea Williamsburg, has been up in the air–until now. Yesterday, Brooklyn Flea owner, Eric Demby, announced that starting this Sunday, the market is moving up the block to 50 Kent.
The news comes via Bedford + Bowery. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Williamsburg Flea will return for its outdoor season and feature 150 vendors including a few new faces. Among them are Shibui, a store specializing in Japanese antiques and, apparently, softcore erotica posters; Attic Addict, which focuses on repurposed and vintage furniture; and local designer Seth Brody, who has made his name selling home accessories and designing furniture.
And, as always, there will be plenty of tasty bites to snack on, including offerings from Pizza Moto, Dough, Mighty Quinn’s, People’s Pops and dozens more.
50 Kent is located on Kent Avenue between N. 11th and N. 12th Streets. And don’t forget, we’ll be hosting a concert series featuring The War on Drugs, Beirut and others in the same space this June during the 2014 Northside Festival.
