Smorgasburg Alum Butter & Scotch Opening A Crown Heights Location

There should be a Smorgasburg graduation ceremony at this point. So many alums have leveled up after getting their start at the weekly food festival and now we can add the insanely popular Butter & Scotch to the ever-growing list of illustrious Smorgasburg graduates.
Today, we learned that the dessert and cocktail bar is officially making the leap from booth to brick-and-mortar. Owners Keavy Blueher and Allison Kave told DNAinfo that they’re planning to open a Crown Heights location at 818 Franklin Avenue near Eastern Parkway.
Butter & Scotch will take over two storefronts and serve up desserts and coffee throughout the day and function as a post-work cocktail bar by night once their liquor license gets approved.
Barring the all-too-familiar hiccups that come with opening a new business, Butter & Scotch’s permanent location should be open by late summer.
