In Carroll Gardens This Weekend, Buy Thousands of Records For $1 Apiece
Well, this is a pretty ideal way to spend a warm-ish Saturday: Carroll Gardens record store Black Gold is bringing back its annual “Gold Dig,” in which between 3,000 and 4,000 records (most of which have never even been on sale in the store before) will go on sale for $1 apiece.
The sale kicks of at 10am on Saturday, 3/22, and like any other opportunity to get good things for cheap, it’d behoove you to be there early if you really want to find the good stuff (though things could get as cheap as three records for $1 as the day wears on). The store’s co-owner Jeff Ogiba told DNAinfo, “People find really rare stuff. Just be there at 10.”
But we really need to explain any further? Go, get out in the sunshine, dig through piles of stuff, then reward yourself down the street with a drink at Goldenrod. Easy.
