A Huge Game of Thrones Event Is Coming To The Barclays Center
Listen up, Throneheads. The event of our freakin’ dreams has finally arrived.
According to Nerdist, HBO is planning an “epic fan experience” on Thursday, March 20 at Barclays Center where 7,000 fans of Game of Thrones will gather to watch an early screening of the Season 4 premiere, get a chance to take pictures on the Iron Throne and check out costumes and prop displays from the hit show. Apparently, many more “special surprises” are planned (like the announcement of the sixth book?!?!), but the GOT team is keeping it all very hush hush.
Things are so hush hush in fact, that fans (who must be 18 years or older, sorry kids) will not be allowed to use cellphones or cameras at any point during the event and must surrender all technology at the gate.
The $15 tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning with all proceeds benefitting the Nothing But Net and Books For Africa charities.
See you there, brethren.
Update: This Friday, HBO will release Catch The Throne, a compilation of rap tributes to Game of Thrones.
