Yesterday, we told you all about the chain stores coming to Williamsburg and shared the first images of the new Urban Outfitters concept store, Space Ninety 8. It seems like there’s nothing we can do to keep Manhattan’s glass and steel tendrils away from the neighborhood. Sorry, Billyburg.
Today, Bedford + Bowery reported that East Village coffee chain The Bean is planning on opening its first Brooklyn location in a new residential building at 101 Bedford Avenue and will strategically sit just outside McCarren Park. When the shop opens in April, Williamsburg residents will be able to enjoy what we think are pretty affordable drinks and eats (including plenty of vegan options).
We’re sure some of you are a bit wary anyway, but we can report that none of their lattes cost $7 and that has to count for something.
