It’s Grand Street Restaurant Week!
Manhattan’s love-it-or-leave it Restaurant Week is the hot topic of culinary conversation right now, but our borough doesn’t need to wait until Dine In Brooklyn for access to reduced-price eats.
That’s because the Grand Street BID is kicking off their own seven-day event in East Williamsburg this year, with spots along the strip offering 2-course, $10 lunches and 3-course $25 dinners from now until Sunday, February 17th. So check out Mahzen Grill for smoky branzini and other Turkish specialties on Humboldt Street, Bahia’s Caribbean coconut shrimp on Graham Avenue, The Sandwich Shop’s smoked salmon baguette on Manhattan Avenue, tostones and other tapas at Ooba Lounge on Leonard, and Italian red sauce favorites at Desy’s Clam Bar on Lorimer Street. They may not have the same prestige as Empellon Cocina in the East Village, say, or Blue Water Grill in Union Square, but dining out in the city on a ten-spot? No matter the neighborhood, that’s always a cause for celebration.
