Does Nick Lachey Live in Brooklyn, or Not?

New York-centric blogs are nothing if not a steady drumbeat of data driven maps, and we’ve already taken a look at one of Rentenna’s depressing neighborhood-by-neighborhood infographics today. But they’ve also put out another, maybe more practically useful map, this one regarding what neighborhoods are inhabited by which celebrities here in the Big Apple. And with it, we get mostly-old information—yes, we know Maggie Gyllenhaal is all about Park Slope—but also, a few burning questions. Let’s see if you come up with the same ones we did:
So, a few thoughts about this. We’d like an explanation as to why, exactly, they felt the cruel need to include a crossed-out mention of Michelle Williams and Jason Segel, who broke up over a year ago, or how they ended up being dead last to the news that Chloe Sevigny moved here. Mostly, though, what’s up with these entries for Vanessa Minillo and Nick Lachey in Park Slope? Has anyone ever heard anything about these two hanging out in the neighborhood, ever? The only other mention of this we can find is from 2012, when Rentenna released another, similar map, also claiming the pair had set up camp in the area, to much confusion and dispute. So what’s the deal here? Do they have a place in New York they stay in part time? Rent it out as a real estate investment? Live here in the unassuming, low-key, under-the-radar way we’ve come to expect from Lachey (who our entire office agrees seems like a shockingly nice dude), thereby avoiding excess media attention? None of the above? We’d very much like to know what’s going on here.
